SEAM is an independent, non-profit Malian association working for environmental protection, climate justice and participatory environmental governance — alongside communities, public authorities, civil society and the private sector.
Who we are
A citizen-led response to Mali's environmental challenges
Founded in Mali, SOS Environnement Action Mali (SEAM) was born from the will of engaged citizens to actively contribute to protecting ecosystems, promoting climate justice and strengthening environmental accountability.
Our work relies on a participatory approach that brings together local communities, local authorities, state technical services, civil society organisations, the media and technical and financial partners.

DiscoverOur achievements
The "Towards Effective Mining Accountability in Mali" project
Carried out in Naréna between November 2025 and March 2026, this project strengthened the monitoring of environmental standards in mining areas, set up a monitoring observatory, and created a community alert network using digital technology.
