At SOS Environnement Action Mali (SEAM), we consider that solid governance is essential to carrying out effective, credible and sustainable actions. Our organization relies on operating rules clearly defined by its bylaws and internal rules, ensuring transparent management, democratic participation and shared responsibility.

We ensure that every strategic decision is made in the interest of the association, its members and the communities we support.

Our governance bodies

The General Assembly

The General Assembly is SEAM's supreme decision-making body. It brings together all members in accordance with the provisions of the bylaws.

Its main responsibilities

  • Define the association's strategic orientations
  • Adopt the bylaws and their amendments
  • Approve activity reports and financial reports
  • Elect the members of the National Executive Board
  • Decide on the association's major development directions
  • Rule on any important matter concerning the life of SEAM

Our governance bodies

The National Executive Board (NEB)

The National Executive Board ensures the day-to-day management of the association. It implements the decisions of the General Assembly, coordinates projects and oversees the sound administrative, technical and financial functioning of SEAM.

Titles are presented in accordance with the association's bylaws.

Responsibilities of the Executive Board

  • Implement SEAM's strategic plan
  • Coordinate projects and programs
  • Ensure the management of human, financial and material resources
  • Represent the association with partners and authorities
  • Prepare activity reports and financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with the decisions of the General Assembly

The Monitoring and Verification Committee

The Monitoring and Verification Committee plays an essential role in the quality and credibility of SEAM's actions. This body contributes to the continuous improvement of the association's working methods.

Its missions

  • Control the quality of the data collected
  • Verify information before it is disseminated
  • Contribute to the reliability of technical reports
  • Strengthen internal accountability mechanisms

SEAM's members are at the heart of the association's life. They take part in activities, propose initiatives, participate in General Assemblies and contribute to fulfilling the organization's mission in accordance with the bylaws and internal rules.
